The Civil Contractors Federation Tasmania (CCF Tasmania) is proud to announce that their High Vis
Army Civil Job Ready Program, co-designed with TasTAFE, has been awarded the prestigious Industry
Collaboration Award (Gold) at the 2025 Australian Training Awards held in Darwin last night.

CCF Tasmania CEO, Andrew Winch said the program was one of seven awards won by Tasmanian
individuals and organisations at the national event, underscoring the state’s leadership in vocational
education and training (VET).

“Delivered in partnership between CCF Tasmania and TasTAFE, the Civil Job Ready Program is a pre
vocational training pathway that connects participants, predominantly from high barrier groups,
with meaningful employment in Tasmania’s civil construction sector,” Mr Winch said.

“Since its launch, the program has transformed lives by providing industry-specific skills, workplace
readiness training and direct pathways into jobs on small and large infrastructure projects across the
state.”

Matt Dance from TasTAFE said the organisation is incredibly proud to be recognised for the strong
collaboration with the CCF Tasmania team.

“At TasTAFE, we’re committed to collaborating with industry to develop and deliver programs that
prepare Tasmanian’s for the world of work,” Mr Dance said.

“With major projects slated across Tasmania in the coming years, we’re committed to building on
the success of this partnership in continuing to transform the lives of Tasmanians and deliver the
skilled workforce we need.”

Mr Winch said the national recognition was a testament to what can be achieved when industry and
training providers work hand-in-hand.

“This award belongs to every employer, trainer and participant who has made the High Vis Army
Civil Job Ready Program the success it is,” Mr Winch said.

“Civil construction is the backbone of Tasmania’s infrastructure growth, and we face real workforce
shortages.

“This program shows how targeted, collaborative VET can deliver both social inclusion and the
skilled workers our industry desperately needs.

“We’re incredibly proud to share this national stage with Joshua Fielding, Stella Quintero,
TasNetworks and the other outstanding Tasmanian winners and finalists.

“It’s further proof that Tasmania is punching well above its weight when it comes to world-class
training outcomes.”

The CCFTas High Vis Army Civil Job Ready Program will now serve as a national ambassador for
industry-led training collaboration.
