The number one priority of the Civil Contractors Federation and its members is workplace safety.
Every day, hundreds of our members and their employees and contractors go to work on our roads. It might be different to where most other people work, but the roads are our “office”.
Our members do everything they can to keep their employees and contractors safe on the roads, but unfortunately some drivers put lives at risk through ignorance or inattention.
The Your Speed is Our Safety (YSIOS) initiative is a joint effort between the Civil Contractors Federation Tasmania, the Tasmanian Government, Road Safety Council and the Traffic Management Association of Australia, and is an educational campaign aimed at improving driver awareness and behaviour, highlighting the critical need for motorists to slow down and exercise caution around roadworks and road workers.
CCF Tasmania employs a mix of digital and traditional channels to push this vital message. From social media, billboards, digital screen advertisements at Hobart Airport, roadways, carparks and press to bus backs, the campaign aims to ensure broad visibility.
