Advocacy in action

The Civil Contractors Federation Tasmania is the leading voice of the civil infrastructure construction and maintenance industry in Tasmania. We represent and promote the interests of our members interests with state government, local government, and government business enterprises to ensure our members views are expressed.

advocating with government

The CCF is actively engaged with the three tiers of Government, its departments and agencies, in formulating policies and reform to optimise efficiency and cost reductions of public civil infrastructure construction and asset renewal to achieve positive outcomes for both Tasmania and the civil construction industry.

CCF has direct access to key industry decision makers, including Ministers, Shadow Ministers, and the Department of State Growth, with the aim of providing our members with “a voice” in ultimately delivering improved systems, processes, greater efficiencies and productivity within the industry.

We are working with government to influence the timing of tenders and jobs coming to market, as well as timing of commencement of projects. We are hoping to see the record investment in civil infrastructure released to market in a sustainable manner to ensure all parties’ benefit.
